Out + About: Food Trucks

We would like to personally thank whoever is responsible for the Food Truck phenomenon. Perhaps it’s because the food choices seem to be endless or maybe it’s because it’s a night off from cooking for our kids but the novelty has not worn off for us. And three cheers for the person that decided that every food truck gathering must include at least one dessert option. It’s hard not to keep going back to favorites (we’re looking at you The Chairman, with your pork belly bao) but it’s always fun to try something new (we hear the Neopolitan pizza at Del Popolo is heavenly).

Don’t miss the Vietnamese garlic noodles from An the Go, the lobster roll from New England Lobster Company, and the mushroom & creme fraiche empanadas from El Sur. Started by two Bay Area brothers who borrowed their mom’s recipe, the chocolatier cream puffs from Pacific Puffs are a worthy indulgence!

Here are two regularly scheduled (rain or shine!) Food Truck gatherings in Marin:

Larkspur: Every Sunday, Marin Country Mart, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

San Anselmo: Every 3rd Tuesday, Redhill Shopping Center, 5:00 – 8:00 pm
